1. Who Sent It?
Check the actual email address or phone number. Do not rely only on a sender name such as HDFC Bank. Look at the real sender information.
2. What Is the Real Domain?

3. Where Does the Link Go?
A button saying PAY NOW can lead anywhere. Check the destination before clicking.
4. Are They Creating Urgency?
Urgency is designed to stop you from thinking.

5. What Are They Asking For?
Be extremely cautious if someone asks for sensitive information or access.

6. Can You Verify It Independently?
This is one of the strongest security habits. If Amazon sends an order-warning email, do not use the email link. Open the Amazon app yourself. If your bank sends a warning, open the official banking app yourself.
7. What Am I Actually Authorizing?
Before entering a PIN, check whether you are receiving Rs. 5,000 or paying Rs. 5,000. Read the screen.
8. Am I Being Asked to Install Something?
Unexpected files should immediately make you cautious.
